As a young girl grapples with her mother's absence, a chance encounter with a woman coping with the loss of her son creates an unlikely friendship.
Director's Statement
Hurricane is an uplifting story about overcoming life's challenges. The story explores what happens when we regret so profoundly that we can't move, and friendship is the vehicle that helps the characters drive past that dangerous stuckness. As is true with many of my films, Hurricane focuses on childhood and the imagination. – JLee MacKenzie
