Director's Statement

My little Greek mother (4 foot 10) always told me to be proud of my heritage because our people gave the world the gift of Democracy. It is a fragile gift with no guarantee it will survive from one generation to the next. ...so it goes is dedicated to all Americans who nurtured this gift and stood watch to protect it. Love of Democracy will win in the end. A Great American writer once wrote: "hatred, which could destroy so much, never failed to destroy the man who hated, and this is an immutable law." -James Baldwin
