Director's Statement
We felt that the story of Catharsis was important to tell because of how difficult it can be for individuals to reach out for help, particularly when it seems like circumstances out of their control make the situation impossible. We wanted to explore the complicated nuance of dealing with trauma and how other people or support systems can fail those that need something more, even with the best intentions on all sides.
