Lonely Trojan - too young for the first wave… too old for the second is a story about friendship and pursuing your dreams. The movie focuses on the singer, guitarist Chris Morrison of the band, The Lonely Trojans, a Tucson punk band from the late 80s heavily influenced by The Jam (and about 10 years ahead of the curve before the Green Day craze) at a time when punk was going metal and rock bands were going funk. We follow Chris and The Trojans in pursuit of their dreams on a journey from Tucson to London to Chicago and back.
Director's Statement
This is a special story for me because The Lonely Trojans were my favorite Tucson band when I was 18 and 19 years old. They were good friends of mine at the time until a falling out / fight for a drummer was unintentionally caused by me. This film has been an amazing way to re connect old friends and tell a beautiful story of best friends and the pursuit of dreams. The music of Chris Morrison & The Lonely Trojans deserve another look and i'm honored to tell the story.
