Deadline is a black comedy Stop-motion short that explores the power balance between bureaucracy, death and feline devotion of the elderly. At its center is a story of a brave friendship and solidarity between two senior ladies sickened by society's disregard and disrespect.
Director's Statement
Venturing beyond the sheer enjoyment of crafting a whimsical puppet action film featuring a raucous group of armed grandmothers wreaking havoc in the streets, our project delves into deeper societal themes. Through a blend of social satire and dark humor, the film addresses weighty topics such as the challenges of aging, mortality, technophobia, and society's tendency to overlook and disrespect its elders. Tackling the complexities of bureaucracy adds another layer to our narrative exploration
