The Last Advice

The Last Advice is an animated short set in a quiet near-future city. As a food delivery robot completes a routine route through empty streets, a man sits alone in a parked car, confessing his feelings in an attempt to justify a decision already made. Told with restraint and minimal exposition, the film slowly reveals the weight of that night and the cost of seeking reassurance without accountability. The Last Advice is a contained, observational story about denial, responsibility, and the consequences that linger after a choice cannot be undone.

Director's Statement

The Last Advice came from a personal unease with how often we look to systems and tools for reassurance when making difficult choices. I wasn’t interested in technology as a subject, but in the quiet moment that follows a decision, when guidance disappears and responsibility returns. The near-future setting creates just enough distance to observe that feeling without judgment. I kept the film restrained and observational, allowing the contrast between the robot’s routine and the man’s inner conflict to speak for itself.
