L'amour en cinq parties
Joshua Provost
France, 2015, 8 min.
In French with English subtitles.
This film is family friendly.
A light-hearted examination of the nature of love through objects, themes, concepts, repetition, and analysis.
Director's Statement
As an admirer of the French New Wave, I found it inconceivable to visit Paris without making a film of some kind. I imagined the philosophical interrogation of a mysterious character. He is challenged to confront the nature of love through an examination of his surroundings. Repetition of images is used to cast common things into a new light, hopefully to the surprise and delight of the viewer.
