Director's Statement

Photography, just like any other art form, requires an audience to appreciate it. The protagonist, Sloan, becomes the audience of her own work when she finds pictures of Wally from her desert shots, much in the same way as I receive feedback from my audience. Looking at scenes from a different perspective helps breathe fresh insight into an otherwise monotonous art piece. Having an abundance of insight is critical for focusing in on what is most important; connection to the medium.
