Director's Statement
More Than Santa Baby tells the story of my father, composer Philip Springer, whose song "Santa Baby" became a timeless classic. Yet his extraordinary life and musical legacy extend far beyond that worldwide hit. I created this documentary to share a story of perseverance, resilience, and hope. From his beginnings as a young songwriter in 1940s Tin Pan Alley, through the golden years of Hollywood and into his most creative decade in his nineties, his life celebrates artistic dedication and lifelong creativity. Ultimately, the film reveals that it is never too late to dream and inspire.
