Town Hall Square
Christian Kaufmann
Germany, 2023, 9 min.
This film is family friendly.
Bernard works behind the windows of a ticket booth at the Town Hall Square subway station and is waiting for something he seems to have forgotten. One day, however, a little tiger shows up and turns Bernard's orderly life upside down. A short film about an unexpected visitor, annoying radio songs and the lust for life!
Director's Statement
What are we going to do with our lives? That's a question threatening to break people apart, just like the protagonist Bernard. It seems like he forgot long ago what he waited for to begin with. Time is passing him like the rumbling subways at Town Hall Square. But we can't keep letting that happen! We're sending him a small, annoying but yet undoubtedly adorable tiger to show him in a heartwarming story what it means to live again.
