Director's Statement

In 2015 Teal Greyhavens and I formed a creative partnership called Ink Runs, and we decided to make at least one short film per year, until we die or someone gives us the resources to make longer films. With TODAY EVERYTHING IS SOMETHING ELSE we wanted to play around with the idea of a comedy that gradually becomes less and less of a comedy, and the idea of using a fantasy concept to engage with really drab, real-world issues like relationships and depression. We also wanted to see if we could make a movie with no lights, no crew, no money, and...no clue, really. We think the result is a resounding, "sorta."
