Director's Statement
I've written about my family for over 30 years. I started writing our story as a kid, in a large yellow legal pad that sat on my desk in my bedroom, right under posters of Michael Bolton and Paula Abdul, my 90s favorites. That pad became a journal, which became a Word document, which became a stand-up act, a one-man show, and now my graduate thesis film. It's an honor to present The Julie Stories.
